∴ News never breaks because it is always breaking. The ongoing saga between Netflix and the BBC discontinuing their contracts was put to rest on Friday. The BBC announced most programs including the original and current Doctor Who, Luther, Top Gear, and Torchwood would not be leaving the streaming service. Several titles, including Sherlock and Call the Midwife have yet to be cleared. You can view the announcement here.
∴ During Marvel’s Agent Carter the company unveiled the premiere date for Daredevil. The show will debut on Netflix on April 10.
∴ The first trailer for DC’s new animated film Batman vs. Robin. The 23rd DC Universe Original Film is planned to premiere at WonderCon in April.
∴ The internet teemed with opinions on the matter of Oscar nominations, view the list and leave comments with your own.
∴ It has been brewing for a while now, but Nintendo dazzled with the trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D for 3DS.
∴ It was certainly a week for trailers as Marvel treated the world to the second trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
∴ Minecraft is getting new residents in February on Xbox, The Simpsons will be joining the game for $1.99 USD.
∴ We reported this week that Tom Hardy dropped out of DC’s Suicide Squad. Rumors peg Jake Gyllenhaal as the top contender for the role.
∴ Image Comics is shaking up the industry with their new “Image Direct.” It is a new mail-order service that will deliver comic books straight to readers mailboxes. The service was enacted immediately.
