Nintendo NX is launching in March 2017.
That’s according to a brief Facebook post released in the middle of the night last night.
NX is rumoured to blend Nintendo’s casual gamer friendliness with the power of a next-gen console to entice hardcore gamers. We don’t know too much that’s official except two things: the system launches March 2017 and NX is just a codename; we haven’t yet heard what the system’s real name will be.
They also announced via Twitter that the new Zelda will be the focus of their E3 presentation and will launch simultaneously on WiiU and NX, meaning it’s likely that the open world Zelda game we discussed in our New Year’s Eve wishlist will be a console launch title for NX and won’t drop in 2016 as we hoped.
