The Geeky Weekly: April 6 – April 12

The Geeky Weekly: April 6 – April 12

The Geeky Weekly is back and bubbling with anticipation. This weekend marked the premiere of the Netflix and Marvel’s Daredevil. Check out the main site to see our ongoing comprehensive coverage. There are also a few short weeks until the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere. All in all we are heading into a wonderful spring, you may even say it is blooming.

And that’s it for seasonal puns, here is what you came for, the things you may have missed:

∴ Last week we announced Tron 3 had an official title. This week we learned Olivia Wilde and Garett Hedlund are reprising their roles as Quorra and Sam Flynn, respectively. Perhaps in the next coming weeks we will get supporting cast, general plot, and a more specific release date.

∴ The Simpsons
Executive producer Al Jean said he is pulling out of a dying market with their move to discontinue The Simpsons DVDs. He cites in his Tweets that they will still bring extra content like deleted scenes and commentaries will be accommodated on FX and FXNOW.

∴ Supergirl is filming and there is a behind the scenes photo to prove it. Check out Melissa Benoist all smiles donning the iconic costume outside of the professional shots. The show will grace our television screens or digital devices later this year. The picture is in the tweet below.

∴ Are you a Disney fan? Rhetorical question. Everyone is. Well, good news for everyone, The Incredible 2 is in production. The script is being written by Brad Bird. We will be seeing Mr. Incredible, ElastiGirl, Violet, Dash, Jack Jack and Frozone (and hopefully Frozone’s wife), will be saving the day again… soon. There are currently no titles or plots attached to the project but consider the Geeky Weekly already amped over prospect.

∴ The last news for this week is Fox’s planned reboot of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. If you’re not vehemently screaming at your computer, phone, whatever screen, you will be in a second. Fox is planning to adapt it as a television movie. No, just, no. That is one cult classic that should forever remain unscathed. You make Tim Curry weep.

So geeks, as we round out another week, take a look at a little dream come true via College Humor. Since it’s Family Guy creation we have longed for the day for life to imitate art. And this art will having you saying oh yeah!

“The Kool-Aid Man Bursts Through A Wall At Art Gallery.” Sometimes life just needs a little breakthrough.
