Two ‘Halloween’ Sequels Coming in 2020 and 2021
July 20, 2019It’s official. Universal has confirmed that Halloween 2018 will be getting two sequels, Halloween Kills in 2020 and Halloween Ends in 2021.
The studio made its big announcement with a little teaser released at SDCC, which set the first sequel’s release date, Halloween Kills for October 16, 2020, and a closer called Halloween Ends for October 15, 2021. “The saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode isn’t over,” the teaser warned, confirming that Jamie Lee Curtis’s iconic survivor would again be featured in a significant role.
Curtis wasn’t the only name announced to reprise her role. Halloween producer and Blumhouse head Jason Blum tweeted that writers Danny McBride and David Gordon Green (who also directed the first installment) would be back as well, along with franchise creator John Carpenter. No other details of returning cast or crew have been announced just yet.
