Marvel Teases Civil War for 2015

Marvel Teases Civil War for 2015

You read that right.

A very cryptic email arrived at the GCE headquarters recently, one that said CIVIL WAR #1 – Summer 2015 and well, that and a photo (seen below) was all the information that was provided.

Marvel‘s Civil War was released in 2006 and it’s still talked about and highly praised today. In the story arc, readers see the implementation and consequences of the Superhuman Registration Act, a legislative bill which required the mandatory registration of any person based in the United States with super powers. This splits up our heroes and they take sides; most notably Tony Stark who becomes a pro-registration figurehead, and Captain America heading the anti-registration group. This miniseries changed the landscape of Marvel comics with it’s aftermath.

So what does all this mean?

It certainly doesn’t look like they are attempting any kind of sequel, and judging from the teaser image we received, it looks like Iron Man, Spider-man and Captain America are all wearing the 2006 suits. Could this be a reboot in the works with a different story?
