London Comic Con: New Dates, New Venue for 2019

London Comic Con presented by Start.ca makes its returns for the 6th year with new dates, a new venue and the promise of even bigger celebrities than ever before!

London Comic Con has become a must-attend event for people across Ontario welcoming well over 10,000 fans each year. And with the latest changes, the annual event is set to attract even more fans to the forest city in 2019.

Dates have been moved to the weekend of Oct 5 & 6, 2019 and will occupy the first weekend in October for all future years so you can mark your calendars now.

Andrew Kitt, President of London Comic Con said ‘Providing London Comic Con with consistent dates each year, and dates that do not coincide with other conventions in North America will ensure we have a stellar celebrity line-up and a show floor packed with the best vendors from across the country.’

Consistent dates were not available to organizers in the past at the Western Fair District. Couple that with the fact that the event itself demanded a venue better equipped to meet the needs of an ever-growing event, the decision to move London Comic Con to a new venue was easy.

London Comic Con is very pleased to now call the London Convention Centre it’s home.

Andrew Kitt, President of London Comic Con said ‘The event will occupy every square inch of the convention centre to bring fans a pop culture experience that will even surpass our previous years. The downtown location and stunning venue will certainly cement London Comic Con as a destination event on the convention scene.’

In particular, London Comic Con is interested in tapping into the technological infrastructure the Convention Centre has to offer so as to enhance the fan experience.

Andrew Kitt said ‘ The convention Centre has digital signage everywhere that can be programmed in real time, we plan to combine that with our intuitive event app so that fans can program their own path through the event. There is so much to do at any given time so we want to continue to improve the experience so fans can make the most of their Comic Con adventure.’

London Comic Con is once again excited to be supporting the Children’s Health Foundation through on-site fundraising efforts and bringing awareness to the Extra Life fundraising event. Each year at London Comic Con various fan zones are erected and managed by passionate fans who offer exclusive experiences to those in attendance for a small donation. To date, London Comic Con has raised over $8,000 to better the lives of sick children in London and have plans to enhance fundraising efforts each and every year though a strategic collaboration with title sponsor Start.ca and the Children’s Health Foundation.
