Daredevil Has Been Cast!

Netflix and Marvel Studios have found their “man without fear” to play the main character in their new 13 episode series, Daredevil. Actor Charlie Cox, previously from Boardwalk Empire, will be playing Matt Murdock, the vigilante from Hell’s Kitchen.
Netflix and Disney have scheduled the thirteen episodes to begin streaming next year exclusively on Netflix. Cox is an excellent choice to play Matt Murdock as his performance on Boardwalk Empire frequently became the highlight of some episodes, and he will be great in and out of the red suit.
Daredevil has appeared in Marvel Comics since 1964; he lost his vision after an incident with radioactive material that heightened his other senses. He ultimately became known as the “Man Without Fear”, and has been seen in other comics such as Spider-man, X-Men, Punisher, Avengers, and Iron Man.
Also following on the heels of Daredevil as part of this deal between the two companies will be three other series focused on Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage which will end with all four characters coming together in a miniseries titled The Defenders.
