Assassin’s Creed: Unity Rolls Out New Patch

Assassin’s Creed: Unity Rolls Out New Patch

February 19, 2015 0 By EVA

Assassin’s Creed: Unity owners will be happy to know they no longer need the Companion App to unlock in-game content.

In a statement, Ubisoft announced major fixes to the game allowing players access to previously locked items. Since launch, players have utilized the Companion App to unlock special chests for Arno. Suffering from major connectivity issues, the app has made it difficult for players to access this restricted content. Completionists can sigh in relief knowing that they no longer have to avoid app-restrictive chests scattered throughout Paris, as Patch 5 does away with such restrictions entirely. While players can continue to use the Companion App it is no longer needed to access all blue and gold chests. Additionally, players can access content exclusive to the Initiate website.

This new update addresses many of the complaints players had with Assassin’s Creed Unity back in November and players can rejoice over the fact that more in-game cash and content is now available. Included in the patch are major fixes to the relocking weapons and equipment glitch, the missing “Find Leon” objective, and PC stability and performance. For full patch notes visit the Ubisoft forums.

Patch 5 released on February 18 for Xbox One and PS4, and is available February 19 for PC. For more on Assassin’s Creed: Unity and whether or not this is a game that you should pick up, check out our review.
