Shatner to Return for Star Trek 3?
October 6, 2014There has been more than one rumor floating around of his return, but is this the final clue that the captain is back?
On the 23rd of September William Shatner, whom we all know as Captain James T Kirk of the Starship Enterprise, tweeted that;
Let’s talk ST. I don’t know anything about the current gossip. Nobody has contacted me. Right now it’s just rhetoric to cause hype.
This is all fine and dandy to see, because it was out there to shush up some rumors that Shatner, for sure, was going to return to Star Trek 3. The hype settled down, and most trekkies calmed down for the return of Shatner.
Today on Twitter though we get this cryptic tweet.
I’m baaaaccckk!!!
Almost instantly most media sites are all over this, using it as confirmation that Shatner is back for Star Trek 3 and we can all scream in joy of his return to the screen.
But is this really the proof we want or is this just Shatner screwing with us? If anyone has followed Shatner on Twitter, or checked into his shenanigans in the past, we all know he likes to mess around a bit and play fun with his fans. He could just be back from anywhere, the store, a restaurant, the toilet!? Who knows. This could even be some kind of inside joke he has with Misha Collins, who he likes to publicly joke around with quite often.
Currently I hold no strength in these words until we see an official post by the studios, or at least something from Roberto Orci about this whole situation.
