Stan Lee to Appear in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.January 8, 2014
With every Marvel movie that hits the big screen, there is one question on everyone’s minds: what will Stan Lee play in his cameo?
Since his brilliant performance as a hot dog vendor in the 2000 release X-Men, it’s just about mandatory for the godfather of superheroes to make his brief appearance in a Marvel film (the only exceptions so far being X-Men: United and X-Men: First Class).
But this time the generalissimo will be heading to prime time as he is set to appear in an upcoming episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. And while his role in the cameo has yet to be released, Lee told The Hollywood Reporter that it’s a “big role.” This isn’t the first time Lee has appeared on the small screen though; he played himself in an episode of The Big Bang Theory. (In which he answered his door wearing a stylish Fantastic 4 bathrobe)
This is the second big cameo for the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The first being Samuel L. Jackson’s brief cameo as S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury in an early episode this season. The episode is scheduled to air February 4th, but this date may be subject to change. But be sure to keep your DVR’s ready and keep an eye out for the man himself.
