Robin Williams Dead at 63
August 11, 2014Entertainment Weekly has reported that the 63-year old actor has passed away.
The man who made us laugh in Mrs. Doubtfire, moved us in Good Morning Vietnam and terrified us in One Hour Photo is gone. While it hasn’t been confirmed, he may have died in a suicide. He had been battling depression lately. His publicist released this statement:
[blockquote]”Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.”[/blockquote]
The Marin County Coroner’s office suspects the death to be “suicide due to asphyxia.” Our deepest sympathies go out to his grieving family in this time.
