The news was announced at Orion’s panel presentation today at WonderCon, in Anaheim. Hamill joins a cast that includes Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, and Brian Tyree Henry in the “contemporary re-imagining” of the 1988 horror hit that follows the path of a Buddi doll that is sentient, bloodthirsty, and has a smile that will make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end.
Hamill is an accomplished voice actor with scores of credits in animated films, television shows, video games, radio dramas, and web projects. He is best known for his voice work as the Joker, using maniacal energy to bring this villain to life in the animated world.
