Wizards Giving Back To Get You Through This
April 26, 2020Let’s face it: lockdown sucks.
Going outside is scary, and staying inside is lonely…
Wizards of the Coast, however, is using Dungeons & Dragons to make lockdown life just a little more bearable. Announced late last week, Wizards has committed to donating 2,000 digital kits to schools, libraries, and community groups, providing educators, librarians, and local organizers resources to engage their communities with D&D and Magic: The Gathering, while the world is practicing social distancing.
It…is a generous donation, as each kit includes a Legendary Bundle for D&D Beyond (a $700 value) that unlocks all current rules and adventure content for D&D, as well as providing a 15% discount on all future D&D beyond purchases. It also includes 30 Magic: The Gathering codes, which can be redeemed for digital booster packs.
The kits also include suggestions on engaging communities in a virtual way.
If you think your organization qualifies, you should apply for a kit here.
Additionally, every day Dungeons & Dragons is releasing material for FREE to get you through the pandemic without going crazy. The offers are for a limited time only, so be sure to check back daily for your free stuff!
You can access the portal here.
Connecting with people is now more important than ever, and Wizards is pitching in to make it just a little bit easier.
So grab your d20, put on your periapt of health, and roll for initiative.
With your help, the world may just get through this.
