Deadpool Will Be Rated PG-13
April 1, 2015It’s official, folks. JoBlo.com released an interview with Ryan Reynolds today that directly addresses the rating on the new Deadpool movie, slated for release in February 2016. In the clip, Mario Lopez interviews Reynolds, the merc with the mouth himself, and we find out firsthand that the movie studio has officially determined that the film will be rated PG-13.
This will come as sad news to some hardcore fans who likely won’t be seeing much hardcore action now since the studio is aiming to make the movie “family-friendly”, as Lopez puts it. Though from a marketing stance, he does have a point when he says, “There may be a billion reasons to make a family-friendly movie, as in sequels and toys.”.
How do you feel about the studio’s decision? Do you think the Deadpool movie should have an R rating? Let us know in the comments!
