Brass Sun #2 Review

Brass Sun #2 Review

Brass Sun #2 didn’t take long to come out, and if you have been following like I have you will be happy it’s here. I had the chance to read issue two this week and go deeper down the rabbit hole of this amazing tale. The only downfall is that we all have to wait for issue three to get more of the story. With the first issue we got a great establishment of the characters involved and that gave this issue a chance to move the story along at the perfect pace, inserting some suspense and action around our main characters.

Although as a reader we might not be sure what the heroes are looking for exactly, we are definitely feeling the adventure required behind this stellar sci-fi adventure. The writing gets the point across without drawing the dialogue out to a boring pace and the artwork, much like the first issue, is a very refreshing and fitting feel to the story being told. Edginton and Culbard work incredibly well together to bring Brass Sun to life and everyone can appreciate the time and effort they’ve put into the comic.

Check out the preview of Brass Sun #2 here.

“The Orrery is a clockwork solar system where planets whirl on vast metal arms and the sun of cogs is worshiped as a god.

But the sun is dying, the planets are freezing one by one, and cults burn as heretics those who warn of the danger. To save her home, young Wren knows she must first escape it and find the key to restart the sun. An incredible new SF-clockpunk series from the bestselling artist of New Deadwardians and the hit writer of Scarlet Traces and Hinterkind. Includes 30 pages of actual strip art per issue! Six issue monthly mini-series.”

You can also jump over to the 2000 AD site and pick up one of their black or white Brass Sun shirts they’ve made available online. Fair warning, you just may see a whole bunch of merchandise you will die to get a hold of. Doesn’t everyone want a Judge Dredd shirt?
