The Geeky Weekly supplements the time you spent not ingesting entertainment news or media to catch you up to speed. Without further adieu, let us turn to the news you may have missed this week!
∴ Holy Haberdashery, Batman! Adam West and Burt Ward are reprising their roles as Batman and Robin to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1960’s television show. This time they will only be lending their voices, as the film will be animated.
∴ A third Tron film was also give the green light by executives. Disney announced the title as Tron: Ascension. It is slated to start filming in Vancouver this fall. Joseph Kosinski is reportedly returning as director after directing the second movie.
∴ The Metal Gear Solid movie is one step closer to getting off the ground. Sony Pictures Entertainment signed on Jasy Basu, an up and coming screenwriter. Jordan Vogt-Roberts is listed as directing. No date is set yet, but Snake will soon be gracing our screens.
∴ Another Doctor Who alum is heading to Starling City. Arthur Darvill, who played Rory Williams during Matt Smith’s run, is joining the cast in DC’s The Flash/Arrow team-up spinoff. Darvill will be time-traveling again as time master Rip Hunter, this time without the Tardis. John Barrowman is already stars in Arrow as Malcolm Merlyn.
∴ Are you still undecided in the PlayStation 4 vs. X-Box One wars? Well, this limited edition Batman: Arkham Knight bundle may just tip the scales to be PS4’s favor. It’s currently available for digital pre-order at $449.99. Better grab it while it’s hot, don’t ya think?
∴ Not only is Attack on Titan! getting a theme park, but there is a television show in the works. In fact, it may be arriving as soon as August that we get the live-action goods. Keep your eyes peeled for further information!
We return to our weekly videos this week after putting them on hiatus. No, that was a lie, but it’s better then the real reason.
