Welcome to our new weekly list of comics coming out called ‘On the Rack’! We’ll take a look at some of the new titles coming out each week and prepare you for that trip to your comic shop each Wednesday.

If there is certain titles you would like us to provide updates for, feel free to add comments below the article and we’ll do our best to keep on top of those titles as they come out.

I read quite a few comics on a weekly basis and if I can give a little insight on what is going on and what is worth picking up I will definitely attempt to, as well as provide the publishers synopsis on each title.

DC Comics

Justice League 3000 #2

This title just started last month and shouldn’t be difficult to find issue one. Jump into a new Justice League from DC’s future with cloned heroes.

“Before the team can figure out what happened to their memories, Cadmus sends some seemingly familiar faces into the darkness of Commonwealth space to face off against the first member of a new group of villains called LOCUS!”

Justice League Of America #11

“A FOREVER EVIL tie-in!

Survivors Martian Manhunter and Stargirl make a perilous trek across a Super-Villain occupied United States. Their first stop may be the last as they enter Gotham City and Clayface-occupied territory!”

Forever Evil Rogues Rebellion #4 (of 6)

“The Rogues just can’t catch a break! On the run from the Crime Syndicate and the Secret Society, the Rogues are forced into a showdown with an army of escapees from Arkham Asylum!”

Superboy #27

If you’ve been following the super titles, you won’t want to miss this issue of Superboy as it ties directly into Supergirl with part 2.

“Part Two of Kara’s confrontation with the deadly new Lobo. After last issue’s shock ending, this issue we discover an even greater threat in Shay Veritas that will force Supergirl to make a deadly choice!”

Superman Wonder Woman #4

This is a title that if you haven’t been picking up, you should jump in now. It has been very good right from the start. We’ve seen the duo up against Doomsday, Gods, and General Zod. Find out what’s next this week!

“The secret of Superman and Wonder Woman’s relationship is out and the world’s reaction is mixed, but that’s the least of the power couple’s worries as Zod seeks to release Faora from the Phantom Zone!”

Image Comics

Ghosted #6

Ghosted wrapped up it’s first story arc last issue and jumps right into the next one this week. It’s been an interesting ride so far with Jackson Winter and the Paranormal.

“NEW STORY ARC! After his last job, Jackson Winters won his freedom. But even now, he can’t put his very real ghosts to rest. News of his reappearance has spread, and there are people who have waited a long time to use his peculiar talents for all the wrong reasons.”

Marvel Comics

All New X-Men #21

This X-Men title in which the early X-Men from the 1960’s have been brought forward in time has been a great series so far. It hasn’t been too long since the Battle of the Atom wrapped up and the team is already into their next trials and tribulations. We are just about to be going into a X-Men / Guardians of the Galaxy crossover soon, so now would be a good spot to jump in if you haven’t already.

“X-23 is back, joining the ALL-NEW X-MEN and kissing Cyclops? What does this mean to Jean Grey? Jean and X-23 are forced to team up against a mysterious force, so she better figure it out”

Amazing X-Men #3

The X-Men have gone to the afterlife to help their old teammate, Nightcrawler. If you’ve been missing the blue elf like I have, this is one you won’t want to skip over.

“BEAST UNLEASHED! Dr. McCoy is pushed over the edge and gives into his savage side like never before! The X-Men, split between heaven and hell, are in way over their heads! Can they get to Nightcrawler before evil Azazel does?”

Miracleman #1

Miracleman is back! Great art and great stories, this classic character makes his return in the Marvel Universe. Watch for all 8 covers of this first issue this week.

“KIMOTA! With one magic word, a long-forgotten legend lives again! Freelance reporter Michael Moran always knew he was meant for something more — now, a strange series of events leads him to reclaim his destiny!

Relive the ground-breaking ’80s adventures that captured lightning in a bottle — or experience them for the first time — in these digitally restored, fully re-lettered editions!

Issue 1 includes material originally presented in WARRIOR #1 and MIRACLEMAN #1, plus the MARVELMAN PRIMER.”

Superior Spider-Man #25

“Special super-sized 25th issue!

Otto Octavius, the Superior Spider-Man, in a life-or-death struggle against the original Superior Venom!

Plus: With one last goblin on his side, the Goblin King’s court is now complete!

Guest starring: The Avengers!”

Uncanny X-Men #16

The series is pushing toward new revelations for some of the X-Men and this title will give you the road to Marvel’s title coming out in March: Magneto.

“Magneto reaches a crossroads.

Everything he’s fought for is called into question and he’s forced to make a decision that will change him forever! ”

This wraps up our first week and gives you a little insight on just some of the titles coming out. There are lots being released by each and every publisher and we would be happy to add them to the list if there is specific titles wanted.

Be sure to join us again next week as Marvel ramps up their Marvel Now stories with a lot of titles you wont want to miss.
