Lots of Disney+ Content to be excited about
October 31, 2024In celebration of the Agatha All Along finale, Marvel released a look ahead trailer to the exciting content ahead for 2024 and 2025 – and damn, does it look entertaining.
Of course the clips are framed by Deadpool and Wolverine coming to D+ in November – it’s no surprise, really. It was the biggest Marvel Studios film in a long time, and with the slate on the horizon, it’s likely to be be the biggest one for a while (unless Fantastic Four is a massive success, which it could be), so it makes sense for Marvel to remind you how much you liked it.
We also see some footage from Daredevil: Born Again, the continuation series from the Netflix shows – keeping the cast together, and making it a soft reboot instead of a complete reimagining looks to be the right decision, as Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/Kingpin) and Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil) sizzle in the new footage.
Daredevil may face an additional challenge this time around, as with Fisk standing in front of some American flags, it looks like he may have been elected to high office. Will we see a crackdown on “vigilantes” in NYC?
We also get a quick look at Jon Bernthal who returns as the Punisher.
March 4th cannot come soon enough.
What If…? returns on December 22nd for what looks to be it’s final season, but the series spins off next Halloween with Marvel Zombies, arguably one of the most successful alternate reality stories Marvel’s done to date.
We also get a look at the new Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man animation series, as well as live action series Ironheart, and Wonder Man. The latter looks intriguing, and I’m very curious to see how that show stacks up in December of next year. I didn’t immediately take to the character of RiRi in Wakanda Forever, but I will of course watch it!
Lots to be excited about in the next 14 months.
