J.J. Abrams to Direct Star Wars Episode VII
January 24, 2013According to a very reliable source, J.J. Abrams is going to direct Star Wars: Episode VII. Once announced, I could faintly hear the voices of thousands of fanboys (and girls) scream in excitement all at once. The very successful director of the Star Trek reboot, Lost, and Fringe now has another wildly popular franchise under his belt to hopefully make fantastic and wonderful like the originals we all love… and hopefully not so much like the recent prequels.
Now Abrams does have a lot on this plate through 2015, but with Disney now financing any Star Wars property, he will have to possibly push those aside to take hold of Episode VII. This information is very fresh and we still have Abrams to release anything himself, but as soon as anything is released by him, or the studios, you will see it here.
Personally, I am excited as hell for this. If there is anyone who can take a science fiction franchise and take a positive spin on it, it is J.J. Abrams.
