1. Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Amy, my modeling alias is Paramac. I suppose you could say I lead a double life. I’m a vet student by day and an alternative model by night. I love gore, science fiction, horror, gaming, fantasy, and anything in between.
2. When did you first get into modelling?
I first got into modeling about 3 years ago. I did theater from a young age and while I was in university I didn’t have the time to dedicate months and months to rehearsals. Modeling was a way for me channel that creativity without months of commitment. My work is mainly inspired by art, but every now and then I like to get a little sassy and do glamour shoots too.
3. You modeled both Batman and Wonder Woman outfits; what are your favorite things about each character? What do they represent to you?
My favourite thing about Batman is how although he is a hero and a vigilante he still maintains a dark allure. Although he does good, you can tell there is darkness in his heart. He is a reluctant hero who is looking to find justice and make amends with his own tragic life. For that, he is much more relatable. I have always liked the idea of the broken hero.
My favourite thing about Wonder Woman is her no holds barred, feminist, bad-assery. She is an icon for females of every generation and her character came at a time when she was needed most.
4. So in a battle between Batman and Wonder Woman, who do you think would win?
Sorry Bruce, but I think Wonder Woman takes this one. Aside from the fact that Wonder Woman has awesome abilities, I think it is her wits that would inevitably defeat Batman.
5. You are heading to the Niagara Falls Comic Con in June with The GCE, do you think you will cosplay?
Absolutely!
6. What character will we be seeing, or do we have to wait until the convention?
I have a few ideas brewing in my head as to what character I’ll be playing, however I haven’t come to any final decisions. You’ll definitely get to see something sassy and if all goes according to plan, shiny! Check back on the website after June 9th if you want to see my outfit.
7. You’re a horror movie fanatic. Can you give us a couple of your favorites?
My all time favourite horror movie is The Day of the Dead (1985) and I strongly believe everyone should watch it. I am also a huge fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street series, including Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. I’m also obsessed with the Evil Dead. It is the ultimate cult classic and I even got to meet Bruce Campbell several years ago at Fan Expo in Toronto. It’s one of the highlights of my life for sure.
8. You mentioned at the shoot you are a bit of a gamer girl. What game do you play the most?
I love gaming, although I’ll be the first to admit that I have a bit of an addiction so I have been trying to cut down. My favourite game is Call of Duty: Black-Ops. I’ve been playing Black Ops 2 since it came out. I also really like Left 4 Dead because of how player-friendly it is. It’s great if you just want to hop online for a few rounds to blow off some steam and blow zombies to smithereens.
9. Which gaming platform do you use the most?
I typically stick to console gaming (XBox 360). I have dabbled in a few PC games but I find them too consuming.
