World of Warcraft’s 10th Annniversary
September 11, 2014Blizzard has some fun planned for the players of of of the most successful MMO’s ever created.
With the announcement of the newest expansion Warlords of Draenor coming November 13th, we also have a cool event to help celebrate that WoW is 10 years old.
The celebration will last online from November 21st, to January 6th, and will be available to all who log on to play. There is going to be a massive overhaul to one of the most beloved raids, Molton Core. Other cool things to expect are:
- Maximum Molten Core – The classic 40 person raid which was most people’s first large-scale raid back in the day is receiving an upgrade and will be available in the Raid Finder during the Anniversary celebrations with a level 100 requirement. Completion of the raid – killing Ragnaros, The Fire Lord – will grant you a Core Hound riding mount and a Warlords of Draenor Raid Finder-quality helm, guaranteed!
- Southshore vs. Tarren Mill Battleground – A new battleground will be introduced enabling players to re-enact the classic battles of old which took place between Southshore and Tarren Mill. There will be two versions of the battleground available – one for characters between level 90-99 and one for characters at level 100. Victory in the battleground will award the Tarren Mill Terror and Southshore Slayer titles for Alliance and Horde respectively.
- Molten Corgi – The pet featured below will be given to everyone who logs into World of Warcraft during the 10th Anniversary Celebrations.

Now I don’t want anyone to run out and subscribe, but if you do have an account you have not played in a while, it may be worth it to check up on what’s going on in Azeroth.
