New Mobile Games from Bandai Namco
October 17, 2014Take a look at what’s new to tablets/phones from Bandai Namco.
Outcast Odyssey:
Outcast Odyssey is a new card adventure/RPG for tablets/smartphones. The game combines the addictiveness of collecting cards and the ability to explore the world and grow you character. The game offered over 600 different cards to collect and battle with, some cards even designed by DeviantArt community members.
With these cards you battle through open field and dungeon area’s which you tap over to reveal. Some areas will be open field, some will be treasure, while others will be enemies to battle. To battle there will be points on the enemy that will be numbered, these numbers correlate with how easy or hard it will be to damage them, 1 being the easiest and higher being the harder targets. Some cards also have special combo attack opportunities which will appear on screen to tap and activate.
Outside of just exploring the land, there is a main town area which will give you access to guild options, a bounty board for random enemy encounters, and other social aspects for you to meet other players. The game is free to play, and you can play though the whole thing without paying a dollar. But if you want there is a micro-transaction system available to get certain perks.
The game is available on the app store as of today for Android and iOS.
Ms.Pacman:
Ms Pacman has come to mobile, and in celebration of that she has gone pink to support breast cancer awareness this October. For this special time, and for the first time ever there has been new levels added to Ms Pacman as well.
The three additional levels are available for purchase through the game, and all proceeds go to support research for breast cancer.
The game is available on the app store for Android and iOS for $3.99.
Pac-Man Friends:
Pac-Man has invited his friends along for an adventure that is completely different than what he is used to. Now with the new game there are brand new challenging levels and modes that will test for skills.
In the game there are 95 different levels with 9 different pac-friends to control with their own perks and powers. Also while playing though the game you will be able to see your friends status and progression in the game as a little icon on the map of where they left off.
Something very unique to this game that the other Pac-Man games do not have is tilt controls. By tilting and moving your mobile device, you can move the characters on the screen to where you need them to go. If this is not something you want though, there are manual touch controls as well.
The game is also available on the app store for Android/iOS for $3.99.
