All Hail The New Halo 5: Guardians TrailersMarch 30, 2015
Halo 5: Guardians has an official release date according to two cryptic TV ads that appeared during The Walking Dead season finale on Sunday! The game is set for October 27th so start saving up for that limited collector’s edition.
Both live-action trailers feature lots of destruction and angry monologuing (the best kind of monologuing)! The first trailer to air was told from Jameson Locke’s perspective, who you might recognize from Halo: Nightfall. The second trailer is told from Master Chief’s perspective. Both characters appear to be hunting each other, but their motives remain a mystery. One thing is certain, Locke and Chief don’t seem to be on good terms, and someone is responsible for destroying damn near everything. Also, why did both Locke and Chief toss their rifles? Perhaps the OP pistol from Halo: Combat Evolved is making a comeback!
Aside from the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta, Microsoft has remained tight-lipped on the details of their upcoming game. We know that Master Chief has gone missing and colonies are being attacked, which prompts Locke to come hunt him down. Master Chief doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to just abandon his post, but Locke doesn’t appear to be the hero in this either. It will be interesting to see the direction Halo 5 will take the franchise. Until then we’ll just have to stay tuned and #HUNTtheTRUTH.
Expect to see Halo 5: Guardians released October 27th, 2015 exclusively for the Xbox One.
