Games with Gold October 2015

October is here, therefore new games for Xbox Gold is here too!

Games with gold has been really strong for the past two months, giving us amazing free games such as MGS: Ground Zeroes, and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for free. This month there is no exception, and it looks like we are finally getting the titles we want not just for the 360, but for the XBO as well.

Going into October Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will still be free until the 16th, and this title is a must get for anyone with an XBO. TR was one of my favorite games from last year as it gave the perfect reboot to a once throught dead franchise of sub-par action adventure gaming. The story is great, the environments are detailed and beautiful, and the combat system is amazing, Pick this up while you can before it’s gone.

Starting off the month we do get Valiant Hearts: The Great War, a puzzle adventure game that puts you in the shoes of  four characters; the Frenchman Emile, his German son-in-law Karl, American soldier Freddie, and Belgian nurse Anna. Each level requires you to complete a certain set of objectives to advance to the next section of the game/story. The art in this game is wonderful, and the story is dark and interesting set during World War I.

Mid way though the month as Tomb Raider is taken away we will get one of the best story driven games in the past few years, Telltales The Walking Dead. By now everyone should be familiar with what The Walking Dead is, and who Telltale Games are (if not i’m sorry). This story driven game has won multiple game of the year awards, and has paved the way for similar story driven games. As soon as this is ready to download I suggest you do, especially since Halloween will be right around the corner.

For XBox 360, the two new titles available will be Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, and The Walking Dead will be available as well.
