Episode VII Will Take Place 30 Years After RotJ

News has finally been released about the new Star Wars movie and when we can place it in the timeline.

Thanks to StarWars.com we have very exciting news as to when we can expect the new Star Wars movie to hit theaters and also when we can place the movie in the timeline.

It has been confirmed that the movie will be taking place 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. This would place the movie 30 years past the original release of the movie in real life, and if we are going to have some of the cast from the original movies in the film, their ages would match as well.

Based on existing Star Wars lore, by that time Luke, Leia and Han all have their own children and Luke is still training the New Jedi Order. This would allow us to see the new Jedi in all their glory, and also the possibility of seeing Mara Jade on the big screen.
