E3 2014: Star Fox is Coming to Wii U

Just in case you needed another reason to get the Wii U…

At E3 today, Nintendo announced that Star Fox will be coming to Wii U in 2015, developed by Nintendo’s very own Shigeru Miyamoto.

What we know about Star Fox so far is that the gamepad will serve as a first person cockpit view inside the Arwing, which will feature a new helicopter vehicle, and also the ability to switch to the Landmaster tank instantly.

Shigeru Miyamoto is also working on two other projects with the working titles of ‘Project Giant Robot’ and ‘Project Guard’, which will be Gamepad-focused titles.

‘Project Giant Robot’ will have players, you guessed it, building giant robots. Much like Star Fox, the gamepad will act as a view from the cockpit. Custom robots will be battling it out using both gestures and buttons which will add “leverage and momentum” to knock the other over.

Gamers playing ‘Project Guard’ will experience using twelve different cameras to observe and attack against a robot invasion.

Details are slim right now, but rest assured based on the track record of previous Star Fox games, this will be one killer title especially with Shigeru Miyamoto at the helm.
