Doctor Who Series 8 Gets A Release Date!
May 23, 2014The Doctor Who official Twitter account announced today that Doctor Who will return in August! The exact Saturday in August wasn’t announced, but at least now we have two reasons to look forward to the end of summer (the other reason being Guardians of the Galaxy, of course!).
Based on the timing of the season premiere, it seems likely that we’ll see our first full trailer at San Diego Comic Con in July, but for now all we have is this teaser:
Peter Capaldi makes his return in August for his first full episode as the 12th Doctor and he joins returning star Jenna Coleman as his companion Clara Oswald. We can also expect plenty of great guest stars this season including Samuel Anderson, Keeley Hawes, Ben Miller, Tom Riley, Hermione Norris, and Frank Skinner, with episodes written by Mark Gatiss, Phil Ford, Gareth Roberts, Steve Thompson, and of course our fearless leader, Steven Moffat.
