Meet the Creator: Dale Lazarov at Keystone Comic ConSeptember 16, 2018
One of the best parts of comic conventions is meeting people who instantly brighten your day. These are artists, writers, producers, creators and other embodiments of talent who leave a mark on your in some way. During my time at Keystone Comic Con this past weekend, Dale Lazarov was one such person.
On Friday, Lazarov posted in a Keystone Comic Con Facebook group that he had a table in Artist’s Alley. His posting caught my attention immediately and I vowed to make it over the next day to find out more about the person behind the post. Lazarov was kind enough to chat with me for a few minutes about his work, his history and upcoming projects.
Lazarov is a writer, director and art director of imprint Sticky Graphic Novels. Sticky Graphic Novels is: “An imprint for wordless, gay character-based, sex-positive graphic novels distributed internationally in hardcover via Bruno Gmünder and in PDF format through Class Comics.” On the website, you can find preview pages and links to order the novels.
Keystone Comic Con took place from Sept. 14 – 16 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA. The convention is the first ReedPOP event at the venue. ReedPOP is the company behind big shows such as New York Comic Con and C2E2. Keystone Comic Con is set to return to the City of Brotherly Love August 23-25, 2019.
