Get Gory with Eli Roth’s Remake of Cabin FeverFebruary 2, 2016
Horror master Eli Roth and IFC Midnight promise a gorefest in Roth’s new version of Cabin Fever. A remake of the 2002 cult classic, Roth’s story features all new characters murdered in all new, and delightfully sinister ways. The film stars Gage Golightly, Dustin Ingram, Nadine Crocker, Matthew Daddario and Samuel Davis with the same premise of a group of college friends meeting their demise amidst a deadly virus. It is directed by Scavengers and Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon director Travis Zariwny. The film is scored by Gears of War composer Kevin Riepl.
Roth’s original 2002 film was the highest grossing movie for Lions Gate Entertainment in 2003 and grossed more than 30 million at the box office. Roth hopes to repeat the magic in the producer chair this time around.
The synopsis of the film is,’A group of five friends are terrorized at their getaway cabin. A remake of the 2002 film, Cabin Fever.’ The original film has a sequel and a prequel.
The movie hits theaters in New York and Los Angeles on February 12, making it a grizzly Valentine’s treat.
