A Modern Classic Reborn in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope OGN!April 3, 2015
Lucasfilm Ltd. and Marvel have already been changing the landscape of the Star Wars universe as we know it with upcoming films and stand alones, but the galactic fun doesn’t stop there. This May, the two companies will again join forces to bring fans back to the story that started it all as the first original comic adaptation of the greatest space-fantasy film of all time is reborn as the Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope OGN.
Weeks before George Lucas’ first Star Wars film hit theaters for excited moviegoers all over the world, Marvel gave eager fans their very first look at Luke Skywalker, boldly asking “Will he save the galaxy, or destroy it?” Now, 30 years later, you may know the answer, but that doesn’t spoil the excitement of reliving this now classic adaptation like you’ve never seen before that includes scenes that fans never got to see on the silver screen.
Completely remastered for the modern age with new coloring by Chris Sotomayor, Roy Thomas and Howard Chaykin’s iconic story debuts in an oversized hardcover format with a new cover by famed artist Adi Granov.
If you are curious whether or not Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back or Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi will also see remasters, the answer is yes, and you can look for them later this year. We will keep you updated when the releases are announced. You’ll be able to find A New Hope in comic shops beginning on May 6, or you can pre-order through Amazon.
