Shortly after its inception, Kickstarter became a hub for artists looking to bring their projects to life that did not have the immediate funds to do so. Whether it is printing or production costs that held artists back, they no longer had to sit by the wayside and watch their idea slip into purgatory until they were able to get the funding necessary and the graphic novel Max Hunter is no exception.
Having found success in their past two campaigns for the first two installments of the Max Hunter series, Dark Side Global have returned to Kickstarter in order to fund their third and final graphic novel in the series, Snow Fall.
Really, if you want a futuristic cowboy bounty hunter, this is the graphic novel series for you. Set in 2077, Max is on the trail of a master assassin named Snow who has kidnapped Max’s partner, Keys. Will he make it in time to rescue her or will she suffer a terrible fate while waiting for Max to come save her?
If they are funded, Dark Side Global will be taking to conventions to show off their graphic novel at various conventions where great things can happen for independent artists. Dark Side Global, an independent comic publishing company has a goal to imagine,develop, and create unique and exciting stories that mainstream comic companies do not have and they have done well so far with the Max Hunter series. Personally, I’m a big fan of westerns and I am glad that every so often, comics like these come out that have a futuristic touch to them to make them all the more interesting.
