Jeremy Renner Teases More Hawkeye in ‘Captain America 3’

The Cap may be teaming up with yet another Avenger in Captain America 3. 

Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, is rumored to be in the new Captain America film. Thus far Hawkeye has been extremely underutilized in The Avengers so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. With more screen time we could get to know a lot more about this comic favorite.

While Jeremy Renner says that there are only “rumblings” that his excellent archery skills will be seen for a fourth time in Captain America 3, that’s more than enough to get the fans all riled up. Renner teased Hawkeye’s inclusion in the upcoming Captain America 3 film while speaking with Collider.

[blockquote]“There are rumblings of Captain America 3” says Renner “I don’t know what’s going to happen there. I’ve got to find the time, man. [Laughs] I’m trying to stay home and I can’t.”[/blockquote]

While it seems unlikely that we will see a solo Hawkeye film, it is exciting that we have the possibility of seeing him hold his own without the other heavy hitters taking up all the screen time. The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to be released in May 1, 2015 while Captain America 3 has a May 6, 2016 release date so definitely expect a lot to change between then and now.
