If you read X-Men: Battle of the Atom, then you are going to be excited to pick this comic up in May.

This original story is being presented in graphic novel form and intends on being a ongoing series. Writer Mike Carey (X-Men Legacy) and artist Salvador Larocca (X-Treme X-Men, Invincible Iron Man) are bringing the original story format to graphic novel, which hasn’t been done for the X-Men in over 30 years, since X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills. According to Marvel senior editor Nick Lowe, the story will mainly focus on events around Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Storm, Emma Frost, Beast and Magneto. That’s not to say there isn’t other mutants involved in the story, since the base to the plotline is that humans cease to exist on earth, leaving only mutants.

X-MEN: NO MORE HUMANS is an X-Men story in a classic mold: one that pits the mutant heroes not just against external enemies, but also against each other, forcing them to confront their own ideals and prejudices as they cope with world-changing and potentially world-ending events.” – Mike Carey

X-Men: No More Humans hits the shelf in hard cover with 128 pages on May 7th. You can check out the trailer made HERE which gives us a teaser on some of the characters involved, including Nightcrawler.
