The Witcher Season 5 to be its last
April 20, 2024It turns out that Liam Hemsworth will only be getting two seasons as Geralt of Rivia.
Today, The Witcher Twitter account confirmed that Season 4, but also added that they’re greenlit a fifth season that will bring the epic show to a fitting conclusion.
In some ways the decision comes as no surprise, as changing lead actors, from Henry Cavill to Liam Hemsworth, was controversial to say the least. Cavill is known to be a passionate fan of the source material, and in some ways it felt like he was pushed out, or left because of a lack of respect for the books. It was noted at the time, however, that the change in actors was due to Cavill’s scheduling conflicts as opposed to some other meaning, but who can say for sure.
