Opening Cinematic for Injustice: Gods Among Us

We are just three days away from NetherRealm Studios release of Injustice: Gods Among Us and we have been treated to it’s opening cinematic.

The game takes place in a devastated Metropolis where Superman has just lost Lois Lane and their unborn child in a nuclear attack courtesy of the Joker. Superman interrupts an interrogation between Batman and the Joker on how he managed to get his hands on a nuclear bomb and, in a fit of rage, takes Jokers life and establishes a new world order. These actions split Superman and Batman’s alliances and fierce battles ensue between the forces of Superman and those allied with Batman.

Characters said to be appearing in the game are: Aquaman, Ares, Bane, Batman, Black Adam, Catwoman, Cyborg, Deathstroke, Doomsday, The Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Harley Quinn, Hawkgirl, the Joker, Killer Frost, Lex Luthor, Nightwing, Raven, Shazam, Sinestro, Solomon Grundy, Superman and Wonder Woman.

Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released April 16 in North America, April 19 in Europe, and June 9 in Japan.
