HRG Returning for Heroes: Reborn

Jack Coleman will be reprising his role as Noah Bennet from the original Heroes series, and he is the first of the former cast members to sign on board for NBC’s mini series, Heroes: Reborn.

Deadline has reported that he will be returning for the 13 episode “event series” Heroes: Reborn, which will feature new heroes and potentially old characters from the original show making cameo appearances.

Tim Kring, the creator of the original series, will be replicating the elements of the first series in which regular people wake up to the realization they have extraordinary powers; specific plot details are currently being closely guarded though.

Noah Bennet AKA HRG (horn-rimmed glasses; a name given to him by fans until his real name was revealed) was a former agent of the Company (whose cover name was Primatech) and father to Claire Bennett. Despite his rocky beginnings and questionable decisions, HRG quickly became a fan favourite. Coleman found he was promoted to series regular halfway through the first season of the show.

Several of the original stars have been approached to rejoin the show but so far Zachary Quinto (who played the serial killer Sylar) and Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli) are said to not be available for Heroes: Reborn. Still, there are many other characters that fans of the show would love to see return, even if it is just for a cameo.
