Goro Joins Mortal Kombat X
September 5, 2014The first next-gen Mortal Kombat game will be released next spring as the game’s four-armed boss character becomes a DLC extra.
The tenth entry in fighting game franchise, Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14 next 2015.
With its over the top violence and action, the game has been keenly anticipated since its reveal in July and we were certainly very impressed by the game when we saw it at E3.
Developer NetherRealm Studios has been regularly unveiling new characters, with Kano in the video below being the latest. One fighter that won’t be in the game as standard though is Goro, the iconic four-armed boss character from the first game. Instead, Goro will be a pre-order exclusive.
As with most pre-order deals, Goro will eventually become a paid-for piece of downloadable content, but you won’t be able to get him on day one unless you pre-order.
Mortal Kombat X will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The original idea was to release the game alongside a new movie, but there’s been no mention of that again for a while.
The April release date is perhaps slightly earlier than might have been expected and suggests that the rumoured Injustice 2 – based on the DC Comics universe – may be revealed at some point next year.
