See the first photo of Grant Gustin as the Flash!

Today the CW released its first look at Grant Gustin in his costume for The Flash. It was designed by Colleen Atwood, a three-time Oscar award winner for costume design for Alice in Wonderland, Memoirs of a Geisha and Chicago. She also designed the costume for Arrow.

Following the popular series Arrow (in which Gustin made two appearances), Gustin will star as Barry Allen in the upcoming series spin off. A release date has not yet been set, but production of the show is set to start next week with Arrow pilot director David Nutter. Co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, with the help of Geoff Johns, will write the pilot episode.
