Emotional Stephen Amell Confirms Arrow Will End After Season 8
March 7, 2019Arrow, the CW series that spawned a whole universe which includes shows like The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow, will end after season eight.
Stephen Amell confirmed the show will end after a limited 10 episode run in season 8 in an emotional announcement on Facebook as well as Twitter.
“Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life… but you can’t be a vigilante forever,” he wrote on Twitter. “Arrow will return for a final run of 10 episodes this Fall. There’s so much to say… for now I just want to say thank you.”
Next years crossover is Crisis on Infinite Earths, which was huge in the comics. Characters died, all Earths merged into one, it is a very big deal. With season 8 ending right around the time of the crossover, we could see Oliver Queen/Arrow bow out in terms of a major death scene. Regardless, it has been a great run and Amell was a great ambassador for CW and the Arrowverse.
