Community Season Six to Debut March 17

Last year it was announced that the former NBC comedy had found a new home on Yahoo! Screen which will bring the series sixth season online. Recently, they had revealed that the first episode of the season will be available March 17th via the online streaming service.

The little show that could, returns once again with some new faces but sadly missing others. Season 5 saw 2 main members of the Greendale study group move on, with Pierce (Chevy Chase) and Troy (Donald Glover) both moving on from the show. This season we say goodbye to Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) and series newbie Buzz Hickey (Jonathan Banks). But their spots were quickly filled with 2 newcomers.

Joining show stars Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong are Paget Brewster as Francesca “Frankie” Dart, a consultant brought in to help improve the struggling community college, and Keith David as Elroy Patashnik, a washed up inventor who decides to return to college as a means of reinventing himself.

The return is thanks to fans who rallied behind the series motto “Six Seasons and a Movie” and series creator Dan Harmon is hoping that Community will be around long after that.

Be sure to be online March 17th to see the return on your favorite study group. Cool cool cool.
