It’s getting hot, and some of our favourite Sci-Fi is coming back to TV

Some of the best shows are back for the summer season, and it will be awesome. Here is a rundown of what to look out for in the next few months.

Continuum (on SyFy/Showcase):

This show revolves around City Protective Services (CPS) law enforcement officer Kiera Cameron, living in a corporatocratic and oligarchic dystopia Vancouver, 2077.  She teams up with  Detective Carlos Fonnegra and teen computer genius Alec Sadler, to take down the terrorist organization “Liber8”. This show has a lot of time travel, so if you get confused easily… pay attention. Season 2 premieres Fri., June 7 at 10 p.m. ET.

Falling Skies (on TNT):

Aliens have landed and are taking Earth’s children and enslaving them. Following the failure of the humans to fight back against these technologially superior beings, the remaining survivors regroup to attempt to survive, and strike back against the invaders. The show is now in it’s 3rd season, and has a viewership in the millions. If you have not been watching this show yet, I suggest to get on board. Season 3 premieres Sun., June 9 at 10 p.m. ET.

Under the Dome (on CBS):

The show is the adaptation of Stephen Kings book of the same title. The story is about a town in Maine that is suddenly cut off from the rest of the world by a giant done that covers the town, most panic, while some try to regain order and find out why this ever happened. This should be very interesting, King is great a science-fiction and fantasy writer if you have even read The Dark Tower series. I will be watching this for sure. Series premieres Mon., June 24 at 10 p.m. ET

Being Human UK (on BBC America):

This will be the 5th and final season of our favourite show about werewolf’s/vampire’s/ghost’s just trying to live a normal life. Even with everything they have been through, will be hard to see the cast leave TV. If you have only been following the american version of this show, ditch it and watch this from start instead. Season 5 premieres Sat., June 8 at 10 p.m. ET.
