Humble Bundle: Pay What You Want for Transformers Comics

Humble Bundle: Pay What You Want for Transformers Comics

March 9, 2015 0 By EVA

I’m a big fan of the Humble Bundle deals, as they’ve allowed me to try out all sorts of new digital comics without having to spend much at all. Previous deals have included various titles from Valiant and Image, and the latest bundle covers IDW’s Transformers line.

There are three payment tiers. The more you pay, the more comics you get.

With the first tier, you can pay whatever you want. Seriously, you can get the first six volumes of Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye comics, plus issues 34-37 for one cent. Who doesn’t love cheap comics?

The next tier requires you to pay more than what the average customer has stumped up so far. At the time of writing, that’s $11.54.

For that, you get the first six volumes of Transformers: Robots in Disguise, volume one of Transformers: Dark Cybertron, and all of the More Than Meets The Eye comics.

The final tier is available if you stump up $5 more than the average, so at the moment that’s $16.54. For that, on top of all the comics already mentioned, you get volume two of Transformers: Dark Cybertron, issues 33 and 34 of Transformers: Robots in Disguise and issues 35-37 of Transformers, covering the start of the Days of Deception arc.

That’s a hell of a lot of comics for not very much money. Humble Bundle reckons it would cost you $155 if you bought them all separately. You even get to decide exactly where your money goes – you can split it between IDW, Humble Bundle and their chosen charity, the Hasbro’s Children Fund.

As a child of the 80’s, I’ll always have a soft spot for Optimus Prime and the gang, despite Michael Bay’s best efforts, so I signed up for the pay what you want bundle quicker than Bumblebee could turn into a VW Beetle. At that price, you can’t really lose can you?

The Transformers Humble Bundle closes on Wednesday 11th March at 11a.m. Pacific time.
