Two Epic Dungeons & Dragons Streams for Charity
September 24, 2020This coming Saturday, September 26th, at 12:30 ET (9:30 am PT) and 8 pm ET (5 pm PT) two Dungeons & Dragons games are being held for charity.
The #QuestfortheCure is raising money for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research, through Jesse’s Journey. Duchenne is a horrible disease that effects 1 in 5000 kids, usually boys. It’s always fatal.
That’s why this amazing group of people has come together: to raise money, and awareness, for this rare disease.
Each game has an amazing cast. They are going to be epic! You can catch all the action at twitch.tv/teamsquadup
Game 1
Game 1 is happening at 12:30 pm ET (9:30 am PT) on twitch.tv/teamsquadup.
Ajay Fry is a well known face to Canadian nerds. He’s a gaming journalist, and national media host, who’s been on the forefront of gaming journalism for a decade.
Velvet Valhalla, is a drag-entertainer and podcaster, who hosts a Nerd-lesque show in Toronto.
Allie Gonino is a multi-talented artist. She’s a musician, a composer, an actress, and a cast member of the all-girl D&D cast Girls, Guts, Glory.
Rachel Seeley is an actress, and streamer, and is the Dungeon Master on the current season of Girls, Guts, Glory.
Ahren Gray is an embodiment of a renaissance man. He’s a graphic designer, variety streamer, musican, singer, and co-founder of the popular D&D inspired clothing brand cantrip.
Finally. Last but not least, is SquadUp Ambassador Tory Provenzano. He’s a spokesperson for Jesse’s Journey and a trivia phenom, who knows more useless information about pop-culture than almost anyone in the world.
Game 2
Game 1 is happening at 8 pm ET (5 pm PT) on twitch.tv/teamsquadup and features an equally talented cast.
A streaming legend; author; documentarian. All of these descriptions apply to B. Dave Walters. He is, without exaggeration, a streaming legend, and is a cast member of the D&D Beyond stream Silver and Steel, and the World of Darkness inspired stream LA by Night.
Sam Maggs is a best-selling author of books, comics and games, whose recent novel The Unstoppable Wasp: Built on Hope was described as “perfect for anyone who loves marvel superheroes.” In her “spare” time she’s an on-air host for networks like Nerdist.
She’s a comedian, a life-long gamer, and actress, who featured prominently in the YTV show Extreme Babysitting. Emma Wakelin plays Mordek the dwarven…ah, better to surprise you.
A community-manager by day, and a champion for inclusive gaming by night (or vice versa! or both at the same time!), Amy Lynn Dzura keeps gaming sorted by serving as an administrator for the Dungeons & Dragons organized play campaign Adventurer’s League! A campaign for which a number of exclusive certs have been donated to a certain silent auction...
Eric Morden is a SquadUp Ambassador, a spokesperson for Jesse’s Journey, and the group’s eternal optimist. He believes that events like this one will get us so much closer to a cure for Duchenne.
It isn’t hyperbole to say that Ed Greenwood is one of the most influential Dungeons & Dragons creators of all time.
In addition to writing 400 books, he’s best known for creating the Forgotten Realms, the current default setting for Fifth Edition Dungeons & Dragons.
His creations have spawned literally millions of hours of play and thousands upon thousands of stories.
The Quest
All of these amazing people have a singular mission.
A common goal.
Together, #Questforthe Cure.
You can catch these two amazing games this coming Saturday, September 26th, at 12:30 ET (9:30 am PT) and 8 pm ET (5 pm PT) on twitch.tv/teamsquadup.
But, if these amazing casts weren’t enough: there are prizes for viewers AND contributors.
Dice subscriptions, gaming book covers, adventure codes, supplement codes, gift cards, and more.
There’s also TWO D&D Beyond Sourcebook bundles available to be won.
It’s going to be an epic day.
But these heroes need your help on their quest.
Will you answer their call?
