X-Men 97 comes to the Marvel Multiverse RPG

The Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game has leveled up courtesy X-Men 97, the hit new animated show on Disney+.

In their game updates section, I couldn’t help but notice a new tab that includes downloadable character sheets for all the characters from the show including:

• Beast
• Bishop
• Cyclops
• Gambit
• Jean Grey
• Jubilee
• Magneto
• Nightcrawler
• Rogue
• Storm
• Sunspot
• Wolverine

It’s particularly timely (and smart) given the show’s popularity, and the general agreement that it “kicks ass.” Additionally, given the Marvel Multiverse RPG’s next major expansion is X-Men (releasing on August 6th), it’s raising awareness for the property and may consequently drive more sales.

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to talk to MMRPG Project Lead CJ Cervantes (click to read) and he indicated that they plan to share value-added content like this throughout the game’s life cycle.

Between this and updates to Tony’s Workshop, there’s been a lot of cool content shared so far – and it’s absolutely free.

In addition to being awesome, it engages the audience who are clamouring for content between major releases, without watering down the product. I continue to be impressed by the trajectory of this game and am very keen to see its success continue.
