Take a look, it’s in a book…January 12, 2021
Candlekeep Mysteries, that is. Officially announced today (though it’s been all over the internet for a week or so), Candlekeep Mysteries is the newest title published by Dungeons & Dragons. It hits stores on March 16th, 2021.
Candlekeep is an anthology: 17 short, one-shot adventures, that can be played together or separately. Written by a diverse crew of authors with adventures for characters from level 1 through 16, there’ll be something for everyone in Candlekeep Mysteries.
The book will also include a poster-map of the legendary library fortress and descriptions of its inhabitants. It would be at home in the Forgotten Realms or wherever you decide to set it.
Each adventure will start with the discovery of a book and each book is the key to a door behind which glory and danger await.
Featuring some first-time official contributors, Candlekeep Mysteries includes adventures by Mark “Sherlock” Hulmes, Kelly Lynne D’angelo (Girls Guts Glory/ NDND), Daniel Kwan (Asians Represent Podcast), and Chris Perkins, himself (amongst many others.)
In the official statement for Candlekeep Mysteries, Perkins noted that he got his start in the industry by writing short D&D content; so there’s hope for all aspiring writers out there, too.
Light your candle, and open a tome, because in Candlekeep…every page is its own adventure.
