Harley Quinn Makes a Break for It on Adult Swim
December 7, 2019Harley Quinn, a new DC animated show, debuts on Adult Swim in Canada, tomorrow, and it promises to be something else. Featuring an all-star cast, and geared toward a mature audience, Harley Quinn is not your Dad’s Saturday morning cartoon (but you already knew that, since it’s on Adult Swim). In fact it airs at 10 p.m., and that’s probably a good thing.
The show follows the exploits of Harley Quinn, who, after a rather contentious break-up with her on-again off-again paramour The Joker, sets off to find herself and her place in the world.
But that’s going to be tough, because now that The Joker is permanently off-again, Harley needs to figure how to be co-dependent all by her lonesome.
She won’t be totally alone, though. Harley, played by Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco (who doubles as an executive producer), will meet a wide cast of characters including Poison Ivy (Lake Bell), Felix Faust (Tony Hale), and The Riddler (Jim Rash,) amongst others.
It also stands to reason that The Joker (Alan Tudyk) isn’t quite THAT easily discarded…and may not take well to being dismissed…
